My Best friend.........

Did I ever have a Best Friend, well what do you mean by a friend. All these terms seems to be very traumatizing to me. Longevities of not meeting making you talk with someone, someone you start needing, to be beside you and understand you the way, where in you want the person to speak before you speak. A way that the person should me amalgamated in you, where in you both become something hard to separate and distinguished. The essence of care and understanding, a love which cannot be defined or understood, a feeling of togetherness where in you know what that person wants and needs before it is conveyed to you. You get frustrated and the person has the solution to that frustration which maybe stupid to the whole world around you. Really hard to find, maybe in dreams, you don’t want to loose due to some required relations, whom you wouldn’t mind introducing to hundreds of people around you and be proud that you are connected to such a person. The ‘someone, who relies and trusts you, the ‘someone whom the whole world may take anything as but ,an understanding of the relation exists, with a personal honor. The personal honor of not yourself, but for the friend of yours. Talk over thousand of minutes, still not wincing to know that you are sleepy and maybe you have slept hundreds of minutes. Discuss the out of topic issue, say an architect’s flaw in designing the building, but still patiently hear you , knowing you are just speaking yourself out, and then hopes that you just shut up , but never says it . Loves you but never expresses it, love though defined, is defined in this relation as the most outrageous thing which can ever happen, and defy all the boundaries and be a friend a friend who would be there for you miss you every moment making you miss the person every moment, make you cry when you know that you don’t want to cry and be too strong in front of the person , to make the friend realize that this is the beginning of a life time of a friendship , which would continue till the end, though the friend may never agree to this, the friend may think you maybe forgotten in this friendship which the friend is cherishing and starts missing every moment. Well that not the end, its there forever there, whatever whoever wherever whenever, a thought preserved, memories integrated care existing, love preservative and us as the Label. Friend is just like this for me, every naughty entertaining highly accepted jovial organized youthful moments spent…………….Take it whatever way you want …………… Friend like This is A Reality for Me………………………

Satur-Day-Ate

Was a day when I felt tantalized by everything around me? First we had a plan which was a real squander of time. Squander of time because, this was one thing which made me really vent something really bad about someone, whom I know and met maybe a cheap number of time, well whatever!

So it all started in the beginning of the week, when one of my friends called me and asked about what are the plans of weekend. Starting from Daman and Diu we ended up with making plans for Alibaug.

Well Alibaug is a place close by to Mumbai famous for beaches. Well we quickly made all the arrangements and everything was decided cut clean and clear. Though there were some hiccups in the beginning, all the deadlocks were clear by evening and we were off to hit the roads at 4 am in the morning. However we were hoodwink (that’s a good word to show my frustration here) by someone and we had to abruptly change our plans. This made me reach a point to execrate someone, whom I wanted to since 27th January. But then there was some flinch which stopped me doing it, and someone else faced the wrath.

Well in the evening I had other plans with my roomies, which was made even though I was somewhat trying to abstemious my self in terms of drinking. Well with an amicable look on my face I agreed and after spending a good beautiful afternoon though not much details here, I was at the meeting point exactly at 745 and we had hit the roads in the Auto rickshaw, and by the time we reached Totos it was already jam packed, leave apart a place to sit , there was no place to stand.

However after much argument with an amalgamation of indecisiveness , we decided to hit Ivy at Worli, which again was few say 15 miles from the place where we were, a hope clinging of finding a place , was soon shattered when we fond the place overcrowded with a waiting time of 1 hr. However too frustrated over everything I decided to wait and by an hour we were in, with each of us having a drink in our hands. To be very honest that was one of the most soothing drink after a hectic day... That was a complete Satur-Day-ate...

It was something like "Din Kuch aise guzzarta hai koi ... Chaak Jigar Ke pee lete hain. jaise bhi ho Pee lete Hain ... Dard mile to seh Lete Hain ........ jaise bhi ho pee lte hain .........""

Old GRE Rules

"The decision to cancel the revised GRE General Test best serves the interests of test takers and the graduate institutions that use those scores to make admissions decisions," says David Payne, Executive Director of the GRE Program at ETS. "After much debate and evaluation, it became clear that the current format offers students more convenient and flexible opportunities to test when and where they choose, while still providing score users with valid predictors of test takers' preparedness for graduate school study."
With all the speculations and ETS canceling further registrations for the exam , on 2nd April ETS and the other GRE committee decided not to scrap away the old format. According to the reports, they found the old format to be more convenient for the users. Also in terms of students it was more Student Friendly than the new format which was supposed to be implemented.
This would definitely be a relief for the students who have been preparing for the same for the last 1 year and who were planning to take up date later this year.

Some Grammar Tips

Among and Between
"Distribute these chocolates among yourselves"
"Distribute these chocolates between yourselves"
What is the similarity between the two statements above, what we observe here, is that even though the statements may look to be the same, the number of people involved is different. In the first statement the number of people involved are more than 2 and in the second statement the number of people 'between whom the chocolates are to be distributed are 2.
However in the first statement clearly the number of people involved are more than 2. Hence what we observe here is that, use between for two things, among for more than two.
Anxious versus Eager.
"Am too anxious about my results which are to be announced today"
"Am also eager on meeting you over this weekend"
Anxious is related to the word anxiety; it traditionally means "worried, uneasy." It's often used, though, where eager or keen would be more appropriate.
As and Like
Normally what happens is that its good to avoid using like as a conjunction. In other words, something can be like something else (there it's a preposition), but avoid "It tastes good like a cigarette should" — it should be "as a cigarette should." Quickie test: there should be no verb in the phrase right after like. Even in phrases such as "It looks like it's going to rain" or "It sounds like the motor's broken," as if is usually more appropriate than like .

Apostrophe
The most common way to form a possessive in English is with apostrophe and s: "a hard day's night." After a plural noun ending in s, put just an apostrophe: "two hours' work" (i.e., "the work of two hours"). If a plural doesn't end in s — children, men, people — plain old apostrophe-s: "children's," "men's," "people's." It's never "mens'" or "childrens'."
There's also the opposite case: when a singular noun ends in s. That's a little trickier. Most style guides prefer s's: James's house. Plain old s-apostrophe (as in James' house) is common in journalism, but most other publishers prefer James's. It's a matter of house style.
Note that, with the exception of the little-used one, the possessives of pronouns never get apostrophes: theirs, not their's; hers, not her's; its, not it's. See It's versus Its.
Apostrophes are sometimes used to make acronyms or other abbreviations plural (another matter of a local house style). My preference: don't use apostrophes to make abbreviations plural — not "They took their SAT's," but "They took their SATs." The only exception is when having no apostrophe might be confusing: "Two As" is ambiguous (it might be read as the word as); make it "Two A's." Never use apostrophes as single quotation marks to set off words or phrases (unless you need a quotation within a quotation).
Using an apostrophe to refer to a decade — the 1960's versus the 1960s — is another matter of house style; again, journalists tend to use the apostrophe, and most other publishers don't. I prefer to omit it: refer to the 1960s or the '60s (the apostrophe indicates that "19" has been omitted), not the 1960's or (worse) the '60's.
